Carolynn and Fiona are both passionate gardeners who decided to pursue a second career in gardening to enable them to do a job they love.

Carolynn Hughes

Carolynn has worked as a partner in the business since 2009, she attained her HNC Garden Design with Plantsmanship in 2009 and has since been successfully building her portfolio of gardens. These range from contemporary to more traditional designs. They include suitable gardens for families with young children or busy professionals requiring a beautiful outside space that needs little maintenance. Carolynn believes that a garden should be a practical realisation of client's ideas and fulfil all the varied requirements stated in the brief.

Fiona Hill

Fiona has been working as a gardener since 2006 running a successful garden maintenance business. She has gained distinction in the RHS (Level 2) certificate in Horticulture and has since been working towards her Diploma in Garden Design. Fiona's passion is for plants, she has a very wide knowledge of plant specifications. Her detailed planting plans are beautifully created to suit both customer requirements and the available conditions.

We will come to your home and discuss your ideas and requirements for your garden which will then allow us to provide a detailed quote for the work to be undertaken.

Survey

On appointment we will come and undertake a detailed survey of the garden which will be used as the basis of any further plans.

Garden Layout Plan

This is a scale plan drawing of the design for your garden. It will include any new features, planting areas and also existing elements to be retained. If required more detailed construction drawings can also be produced for the landscape builder to work from.

Planting Plans

Whether planting plans are to accompany a new design or to regenerate an existing border they will provide details and numbers of all proposed plants and also pictures of key plants so allowing the client to get an idea of what is included.

Construction

We work with a small number of reliable landscapers whose work is of the highest quality. We can arrange quotes and also oversee the work if required.

Planting Service

On completion of the garden we can plant your new garden or border. We supply top quality plants at reasonable prices in accordance with your needs. A maintenance service is then available to ensure your new garden continues to flourish.

If you would like to get your hands dirty but don’t know one end of a spade from another use our garden expert service. This is a bespoke service, we will come to your garden and spend time disucssing with you:

• The plants you currently have and how best to care for them
• What new plantings would be appropriate for the specific conditions of your garden
• Pruning techniques and the best time to prune your plants
• How to identify weeds and the best way to deal with them

We will also answer any other queries you may have.

We will prepare a written report confirming all details, giving action points and lists of recommended new plantings as required.

Prices start at £75 for a one hour visit.

Do you have beautiful pots or baskets lying unused? Rather than buy new ones each season why not let us come to your home and plant them up with a stunning seasonal display.

We can offer traditional displays using seasonal bedding plants and bulbs or more permanent planting using evergreen shrubs, grasses and perennials that can be enhanced with seasonal bedding.

All you need to do is ensure that the pots are empty and that the baskets have the appropriate liners and we will do the rest to include:

• A selection of seasonal bedding plus permanent plantings if required
• Appropriate compost with slow release fertiliser incorporated (water retaining gel added for summer plantings)
• Full care leaflet
